ITINERARY |
Day 1 - Cairo:
Meet
and Greet - Pick up at the Airport and Transfer to Hotel
Optional Evening Nile Dinner Cruise $48 US Per Person.
Includes transfers
to and from the Hotel, buffet dinner on the ship and live entertainment
with a belly dancer and whirling dervish. A fascinating twirling show
with numerous colorful skirts, hard to explain but a favorite with
everyone.
Day 2 - Cairo:
A
full day of sightseeing in Cairo - Pyramids/Sphinx/Valley Temple.
Perfumery and Papyrus Institute ( (B,L)
Option for entry into small pyramid and camel ride approx $25 US per
person. They rotate two of the small pyramids and so you can enter into
whichever one is open. Great to say you have been in a pyramid but not
for those who are claustrophobic as the space is small and humid. This
Camel ride takes you to the back of the Pyramids where you can take
some
great photos of all the Pyramids together. These can be done
separately at $10 for the entry and $20 for the Camel ride.
Day 3 - Cairo:
After
breakfast, visit the Egyptian Museum then onto the Citadel/Mosque/Khan
El Khalili Bazaar/Coptic Churches. (B,L)
Day 4 - Cairo - Sharm El Sheikh:
After
breakfast we will travel to Sharm El Sheikh by air-conditioned vehicle,
on arrival the rest of day is free at leisure. (Optional Flight upgrade
$195 US) (B)
Day 5: Sharm El Sheik (B,D)
Day at Leisure in Sharm El Shiek in the evening take a trip to St.
Catherine's (around 3 hours each way) Check in our hotel for dinner and
an early rest for those wanting to climb Mount Sinai to see the
sunrise.
St. Catherines is Closed on fridays and Sundays plus the Religiuos
Holidays like Xmas and so on..
How difficult is it the climb at St Catharines?
"It takes about 3-4 hours to climb the 7,498-foot peak following the
Path of Moses, a stairway of nearly 4,000 steps."
What type of physical condition does one have to be in? You need to be
energetic and strong enough to hike in the middle of the night for 3-4
hours or you can Just taste the experience by hiking for an hour and
still enjoy the sun set from this point and then walk back. It is
always a good idea to bring a Flashlight with you as well. You can rent
a camel St. Catherines instead of walking up the mountain. it takes
about 4 hours and is $45 US per person
Day 6: (B)
Visit
the famous Monastery of St. Catherine's. Transfer to Sharm El Sheik
(3hours) rest of day at leisure.Option for sightseeing available
Day 7/8/9 (B)
Days
at Leisure in Sharm El Sheik Options for sightseeing available upon
request.
Day 10 - Sharm - Cairo:
After
breakfast travel back to Cairo by air-conditioned vehicle (7 hours)
(Optional Flight upgrade $195 US). (B)
Day 11 - Cairo:
After
breakfast a full day tour to the step Pyramid at Sakkara and Memphis
open air museum. (B, L)
